What'd you think of the red hat / black uni Sox combo on Ramirez sports in this picture? It strikes me that going with a grey hat and black-white piping would've been cool and just as distinctive. (Did going red have a distinct purpose?)
All of MLB wore the red hats in the field to honor veterans on Memorial Day 2009. At first, I thought the hats were some throwback game to the mid-seventies, when the White Sox wore red hats and had powder blue uniforms.
The grey hat with the black-white piping idea sounds like it would look fantastic!

Aaaah, Veteran's Day, of course. There's no end of demand for new uniform pieces these days!
