When I think of mistakes, Todd Ritchie comes to mind. But this post isn't about him at all, well it could be, but I doubt it. This post is about you and me, the reader and the writer.
I strive to put out the best postings I can, but sometimes mistakes can't be avoided. I am the only person involved in the direct creation of this blog. I get inspiration from readers and other blogs for some of the topics created, but mainly this is a one man show.
Reader hardcle pointed out something that the spellchecker and my reading it three times (including after it's posted) can't always catch. A word that's spelled correctly, but used in place of the intended word. That's where I need your help.
If you see something, like the word conscience instead of conscious, e-mail me or leave a comment on that post. I would greatly appreciate it. It helps me bring the best possible content that I can. Well, content may be debatable, but it should read correctly.
So, hardcle, since your blogger info is currently set to private, send me an e-mail. I'd like to send you some White Sox cards for your efforts. That was a great catch that might have gone unnoticed for a long time. I am always grateful for that.
I wasn't going to say anything but I believe the correct spelling of Sox is actually Socks......
ReplyDeleteWhite Socks = LOL
ReplyDeleteMisspellings are just par for the course for us bloggers. I had "Heritage" misspelled for over a week in the TITLE of a post before I caught it.
Rocco, that made me laugh! Nice one!
ReplyDeleteDayf, it's just a pet peeve of mine, for the writing that I do. If I find a mistake, I like to correct it. If you catch a post right after I published it, you may find a change or two within the first few minutes, if you go back right away. Many eyes looking out for mistakes are much better than only one pair of eyes.
