Card #66 - Chris Sale
Born: March 30, 1989
The Chicago White Sox picked Chris in the first round of the 2010 draft, 13th overall. Sale was the first player in the 2010 draft to make the majors.
While Chris is being groomed for a starting position, he's cutting his teeth in the bullpen, racking up MLB experience and soaking everything in. His first outing was less than stellar, but since then, Sale has improved steadily. Chalk that first outing to nerves. Chris appears to be the real deal. White Sox fans should be looking at his career very closely in the next few years.

I got to see Chris pitch in KC last weekend and that kid can throw some gas. I had no idea that he was drafted just this year. That is impressive.
You know you are getting old when you start seeing players that were born four or five years after you started collecting cards.
I was at Chris's debut in Baltimore. I took a few pictures that night if you are interested in them. Awesome card. You really did a nice job with it.
zman40,
I was skeptical of Chris being on the parent club being drafted just this year, but he's impressed me too. It helps that the Sox rarely draft high school players. There's more time to see a maturity level.
It doesn't help matters that I was halfway to 13 when this kid was born! When the Sox payers start cracking the 90s, I'll really feel it. LOL
Ryan,
I would definitely be interested in seeing those pictures!
