On this day in 1970, the Angels traded Jay Johnstone to the White Sox.
Jay spent two seasons with the White Sox. Mostly known for being a prankster who kept the clubhouse loose, Johnstone hit .231 with twenty home runs and fifty-seven RBO during his tenure on Chicago's south side. Jay was released by the White Sox on March 7, 1973.
