Major Trading Moratorium

As of this post, I am officially putting major card trading on hiatus. I need to start filtering my money away from packs that might provide the big hits that most of you are looking for and start pooling money towards my upcoming wedding.

All trades that have been agreed upon will be fulfilled, so there's nothing to worry about for the few people who are waiting. I have no problem doing smaller trades right now either. I just need to build my trade collection up a bit more before diving back into major trading.

This will not effect the blog at all, so for those of you who just come here for the content, no worries. For those of you who are wonderful trading partners, we will trade again.

This moratorium goes into effect as soon as this post is published. To those who have things set aside for me and haven't set something up yet, please keep them set aside. If it's a base card, I'll still entertain those trades during the moratorium.

I'm tapped out of most relics, autos and other sought after cards. After the wedding, I'll recharge the trading pile and start trading again with a vengeance.

Congrats on the wedding man! I should do the same, and start saving for a ring.

My question is, are you registered at Topps or Upper Deck?

Alb, that is funny!!

Ironically, my verification is: forksum - as in forksum cash over for the nupts!

Congrats on the wedding! Will your groom's cake have the sox logo on it?

I'll try to slip something by. It helps that Tracey is a Sox fan too.

Hmmm... word verifications seem to be foretelling lately.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I hope your soon to be bride is understanding of your baseball card collection as my new wife is. Do you still want to complete the team trade we had discussed? Indians for White Sox? I am not interested in the relics and all that. Just simple cardboard. Drop me an email. Tim

Way to prioritize man - you've probably noticed a drop off in the mail coming your way from Minneapolis; I'm saving for a ring too. We gotta have our priorities.

Hopefully, if you trip over any Yankees between now, and then you'll keep a brotha in mind.

Wedding, eh? Congrats! My collecting took a nose dive after getting hitched, though I've recently started back up on almost a weekly basis. The stoppage had a little more to do with a lack of fund than anything else. When you're married, spending the last bit of cash you have to your name isn't wisely spent on a pack of cards!

All the best, though. When's the big day?

The wedding was October 2 of this year but is now postponed since my fiancee lost her job last week.

I found out shortly after I posted this. It should be next year if the finances are in order.
