Brian gave his all in the outfield. There is hardly a ball hit that could get by his outstanding glove. His bat was another issue. It hasn't quite caught up to the rest of his talent.
A mid-season trade to the Boston Red Sox could improve his chances to make an impression. Even with Boston's outfield in a logjam, Brian could find himself called up for his spectacular defense.
Among Brian's many outstanding defensive gems was the diving catch from the 163rd game of the 2008 season for the White Sox, during the infamous "blackout" game. The catch, for the last out, preserved the 1-0 lead and propelled the White Sox into the playoffs.
