What was your first thought when you got your little league uniform? Which White Sox player had the same number? I remember getting #23. I had to check the roster to see who had that number and it turned out to be MJ - Mike Joyce, a relief pitcher in the early 60's, about the time the more famous MJ with the #23 was born. -Bill Grimes www.todayinbaseball.com
I never had a chance to participate in little league. Other activities, such as cub scouts, took the majority of my time as a youth. I never passed a chance to play in a pickup game though. I've always wondered which team I would have ended up on and what number I would have received.
