On this day in 1964, the White Sox released Don Mossi.
After many seasons with the Cleveland Indians and the Detroit Tigers, the White Sox purchased the contract of Don Mossi before the 1964 season. Don went 3-1 with a 2.93 ERA and seven saves in thirty-four games for his lone season in Chicago. Mossi would sign with the Kansas City Athletics during the 1965 season.
