2005 Bowman Heritage #35 - Scott Podsednik
On this day in 2005, Scott Podsednik won the second game of the World Series with a home run.
The Houston Astros kept battling back. Bobby Jenks blew a save opportunity. Houston's closer Brad Lidge came out in the bottom of the ninth in a 6-6 tie. Juan Uribe flew out to center field. Then Scott Podsednik stepped to the plate. The man who had no home runs in the regular season and already had one this postseason.
On the fourth pitch, in a 2-1 count Scott blasted a shot to right-center, over the wall, to bring the victory to the White Sox in front of their home crowd.
