On this day in 1876, Patsy Dougherty was born.
The White Stockings purchased the contract of Patsy Dougherty from the New York Highlanders on June 6, 1906. He was a staple in left field from then through the 1911 season. Patsy's six seasons with the ChiSox produced 48 hits, 261 RBI, 231 walks, and 168 stolen bases.
