On this day in 1911, Amby McConnell played his last MLB game.
Amby was traded to the White Sox with Harry Lord from the Boston Red Sox for Billy Purtell and Frank Smith. Almost immediately after the trade Amby's play improved. In McConnell's final game against the Cleveland Naps, he got a hit and a walk in five plate appearances.
