December 16

1976 Topps #282 - Dan Osborn

On this day in 1974, the White Sox received Dan "Ozzie" Osborn from the Cincinnati Reds.

Ozzie would make his MLB debut on April 26, 1975 against the Kansas City Royals, taking over for Stan Bahnsen in the fifth inning, stopping the momentum and finishing the game. Osborn would appear in twenty-four games, going 3-0 with a 4.50 ERA and thirty-eight strikeouts.

On December 12, 1975, Ozzie was traded to the Atlanta Braves. He kicked around their minor league AAA team, but never returned to the majors.
