On this day in 1943, Walt Williams was born.
Walt came to the White Sox via trade with the St. Louis Cardinals on December 14, 1966. Playing six seasons for the Sox, he compiled a .271 average, twenty home runs and one hundred sixteen RBI, while patrolling the outfield. After the 1972 season, Williams was traded to the Cleveland Indians.
