On this day in 1906, Tony Piet was born.
The White Sox purchased the contract of Tony Piet from the Cincinnati Reds on June 4, 1935. Tony hit .267 over three seasons with Chicago. On December 2, 1937, the Sox traded Piet to the Detroit Tigers. After retiring, Tony founded a car dealership in Chicago.
