1966 Topps #335 - Juan Pizarro

On this day in 1966, the Sox traded Juan Pizarro to the Pirates.

White Sox GM Ed Short sent Juan Pizarro, who was having arm trouble, to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a minor league pitcher named Wilbur Wood. Juan would play in the majors, on various teams, until 1974. Wilbur became one of the great White Sox success stories.
