On this day in 1921, the White Sox swept the city series against the Cubs.

Earl Sheely hit a three-run homer that highlighted a five-run fifth inning to help beat the Cubs 9-5 and sweep the exhibition "city series" best of nine. Reb Russell got the win and Dickey Kerr pitched a four inning save.
