On this day in 1994, Paul Assenmacher was granted Free Agency.
Paul came to the Sox through a trade with the Yankees for Brian Boehringer on March 21, 1994. Assenmacher appeared in forty-four games with the Sox. He was mostly used as a mop up guy, when games were all but lost. Paul had a 3.55 ERA with the Pale Hose.
