Congrats to Thorzul for knowing that part time siren John Kruk's last season was in 1995!
While John Kruk was coming in, Jack McDowell was going out. Jack McDowell had a rocky time away from the White Sox, including a shelling by his former team which led to the infamous middle finger incident.
Jack was an awesome pitcher for the White Sox. He had a decent season for the Yankees, but that wasn't enough to keep him in the New York fans' graces. He had seasons in Cleveland and Anaheim before focusing on music full time.
Question #13
What year was Jack McDowell drafted?
Good luck!

Drafted in the 1st Round with the
5th Pick in the 1987 Draft by the Chicago White Sox
Correct!
Part of the reason Yankee fans dislike Black Jack so much is his performance in the ALDS that year against Seattle. Especially when Buck Showalter brought him in in the bottom of the ninth instead of Wetteland, Pettitte, or Rivera, and he proceeded to blow the game and the series.
That would put the last nail in the coffin for him, I would imagine.
