Phungo Trading

The next trade comes from Paul at Phungo. That's just phun to say! Phungo! Yes, I can be amused easily.

This trade is nothing to laugh at, it's something to really grin about! Paul e-mailed me with a list of 1959 Topps cards. Out of the seven White Sox doubles that he listed for trade, I needed two. Plus, Paul mentioned that he had a 1960 Topps Barry Latman to trade.

Vintage cards are always fun! We set up the trade parameters and off we went! You should be receiving your package shortly.

Paul warned me that the cards were mostly in fair condition. That was fine. The two that were in a more loved condition will go in as fillers until I can upgrade. I'm happy with that. The 1959 Les Moss card was in almost pristine condition for a release that's almost 50 years old. That makes me very happy!

So, let's see what else was in the package.

1959 Topps
438 - Sam Esposito
453 - Les Moss

1960 Topps
41 - Barry Latman

2004 Bazooka
36 - Esteban Loaiza
39 - Juan Uribe

2005 Topps Updates & Highlights Gold

2008 Topps Moments & Milestones
3 - Frank Thomas (381) 061/150

2008 UD Yankee Stadium Legacy
212 - Waite Hoyt (08/09/1925)

That's a great variety in cards! I love how the Photoshopping on Juan Uribe's Bazooka card is obvious. Is this gold card of Ozzie trying to say something? Number 1919 out of 2005!!! Could this card have been the curse breaker?? Doubtful, but it's phun thinking about it.

Thank you, Paul! This was an amazing group of cards! I hope you like your package, when it arrives. I tried to give a good mix from your want list, pre-1980 cards and random Phillies.

Awesome, I am really glad that the 59s found a good home.

The easiest way to fill out the commons is to pick them up in bulk off auctions, but boy do you rack up the doubles.

Glad the cards made it out there safely especially those extra bases.

I will be keeping my eye on the mailbox.

Thanks
