3-6-08: Rangers 6 - Sox 1

The White Sox are not doing well in televised games. This will obviously change soon. If not, they will go 0-162 this year. Not even the '62 Mets were that bad. Not even the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, which have the distinction of being the worst MLB team in history, were that bad.

There are decent things though. There was some great defense by Brian Anderson. There were some decent at-bats. We also saw a catcher who could handle the knuckleball.

The good:
Mike MacDougal threw a perfect inning? It's true! Let's cue the heavenly choir. I hope this is a sign of things to come. If MacDougal gets on track, the bullpen will be lights out.

Brian Anderson's outfield assist. He nailed Chris Shelton at home plate. That was an awesome throw. Brian just may make the team this year.

The bad:
The bullpen still needs work, but the runners got on with mostly bloop shots. Although, the damage was done with the home runs. Some really nasty, long, high home runs.

Joe Crede's third error. He's getting back into the swing of things, but still.

The ugly:
Juan Uribe left 5 men on base.

The Sox managed only 3 hits!

This was definitely not the team's best game. Not by a long shot. There were some good things. If you can take anything positive from a loss, it's a good learning experience. This was a learning experience kind of a game.
